Full points to the incumbent mayor for voicing his own virulent criticisms.
In my experience at forums, candidates plant bullies in the audience. Loaded questions and rude criticisms come from the floor, leaving the candidate appearing statesmanlike.
Is the incumbent inexperienced? Or perhaps he hasn’t heard the old saw, “When you point a finger, there are four pointing back at you.”
Sicamous has so much potential, it deserves leaders and staff with positive mindsets and vision to work through challenges.
Sicamous is not our primary residence, so I don’t have a vote. I hope those who do think seriously about choosing council members who put policy ahead of personalities, and work collaboratively for the community after healthy debate.
