Water refill stations offer alternative to bottle sales

My family took a trip to Arizona in March. All of the sites that we stopped at which were operated by the National Parks Service had water bottle refilling stations.

According to my Internet research, most other American National Parks have recently installed water bottle refill stations as well.

My family just drove through Jasper, Banff, Yoho, and Glacier National Parks and we did not see a single water bottle refill station. We had to park outside of campgrounds and walk in to refill our bottles. I think that the people of this province who are concerned about Nestlé bottling and selling our water should focus on lobbying all levels of government to install water bottle refill stations.

Salmon Arm, for example, could use stations at the Ross Street Parking lot and the Visitor Information Centre. If people get used to the idea that there will always be a place to fill a bottle then there is no need to purchase bottled water.
