It was another challenging week for the Sicamous Eagles, who dropped two games in away and home play.

On Friday, Jan. 13, Sicamous was on the losing side of a 4-1 contest against hosts the North Okanagan Knights. Sicamous’ single came in the second frame, and unassisted goal from Nathan Grieve, who was named third star.

Sicamous had a promising start in play Saturday, Jan. 14 against the Kelowna Chiefs with an early goal from Steven Powers. Brayden Taekema added one in the second frame, giving the Eagles a short-lived 2-1 lead.

In related news, Eagles D-man Stewart Coyle was called up to play with the Kelowna Rockets in December, and played six games with the Western Hockey League team.
