With wet autumn weather underway, golf season is once again coming to a close.

The Eagle River Golf and Country Club recently hosted two wind-up events: the Men’s Club wind-up and the Mixed wind-up. The following are the results of each:

Men’s Club

Dale Yakewchuk led his team of Eddie Jager, Chris Gibbons and Dave Parker to victory with a 7 under par net 53 score in an exciting three-hole playoff to break the tie with the team of Sonny Jager, Jake Dewitt, Steve Wyllie and Paul Robinson.

It was a perfect blue sky full of sunshine day of golf, followed by a barbecue rib dinner cooked by Marianne.

After a three-hole horse race, an array of great prizes were awarded. A houseboat trip was won by Jack Sundberg.

Mixed

The 31st Annual Mixed Windup first-place position was captured by the team of Dale Yakewchuk, Kirsten Aselson, Richard Monvoisin and Cathy Kalshaw, with a net score of 51.8. Runners up were George and Carol Howden, Terry Kremer and Randy Groot. The elimination draw for the houseboat trip was won by George Howden of Calgary, Alta.

Special thanks go out to all the sponsors/supporters of both events.
